Tai Chi Chuan

Tai Chi Chuan or Taijiquan is an ancient Chinese Martial Art which has gained worldwide appeal for its approachability and many health benefits. The theory of Tai Chi evolved with many Chinese philosophical principals, such as Taoism & Confucianism. It represents the fusion of Yin & Yang into a single “Ultimate.”

Health benefits

The Chinese believe practicing Tai Chi Chuan increases longevity and medical studies support its effectiveness as an alternative exercise. The focus of the mind on the physical techniques bring mental calm and clarity, promote relaxation and relieve stress of the body and mind.

Training

The training is intensive one to one tuition. It quickly progresses students through the solo “forms,” whilst learning about the elegant use of body mechanics.

Students quickly build confidence, increase their knowledge and develop skill. Beginners are always welcome.
